This is the website of Laurie Schaefer, an artist in Santa Ana, California. This page explains what happens to your information when you look around or send her a note.

If you fill out the contact form, the site collects what you choose to share: your name, your email, your message, and which painting you were asking about if you came from a work page. If you never fill out the form, no personal details are collected about you.

Like most websites, the host keeps basic server logs, things like IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and running. Those aren't tied to you personally.

Your message goes straight to Laurie so she can reply, whether that's about buying a piece, a commission, or anything else. Your information isn't sold, and it isn't handed to anyone for advertising.

The site sets no advertising cookies and runs no ad trackers. No Google Analytics, no social media pixels.

The one measurement it does keep is a simple, anonymous count of visits: page views, roughly where visitors are (city or region), and which site sent them here. That's handled by Lima Bean Photography, who built and hosts the site, so Laurie can see how it's doing. It stores a random id in your browser, identifies nobody, and is never shared or used for ads. Because there's no ad tracking, there's no cookie pop-up to click through.

The site is served through Cloudflare, which may set basic security cookies to keep it online.

Your message goes to Laurie and passes through the services that make the site work: the email provider that delivers the form and the host that serves the pages. They handle it only to provide that service. Nothing is sold, ever.

If you'd like anything you've sent to be deleted, write through the contact form and it will be taken care of. You can clear or block your browser's storage anytime; the site works either way.
