Commissions
A piece made for one particular wall.
Most commissions start the same way. Someone finds a painting that already sold and wants something close to it, at a size that suits their room.
Laurie works in acrylic, paper, pastels and markers, building layers up and then scraping back into them. A commission usually means steering the palette she's already working in toward the room the piece is going to hang in, at whatever size the wall asks for.
Her paintings hang in homes in Canada, Hong Kong, New York, California, New England and Washington, DC, most of them through private commissions.

- What the light in the room is like.
- Any deadline you're working to.
Timing and price depend on size, so it's worth asking. She'll tell you what she can do before anything is committed.
